November 7, 2022, is the last working day of the Chief Justice of India, Justice Uday Umesh Lalit. Justice DY Chandrachud will be the next Chief Justice. He will preside over a host of constitutional issues -- the question of the promise of freebies by political parties during elections, the challenge to the Places of Worship Act, 1991, WhatsApp's privacy policy and reviews on Sabarimala and hijab cases. His term will also see the 2024 Lok Sabha elections before he retires on November 10, 2024. Here is all about the 50th Chief Justice of India. Watch

Government,Supreme Court & collegium should decide immediately to rectify the code of civil procedures, so that judgment be in very precisely,most of the cases it is observed it's a big history, moreover the procedures for total proceedings up to judgment is a very lengthy & time consuming proces that's why crores of cases pending in the court of law, in many cases unnecessary & unreasonably deemed Mujrim kept in the prison these should be dispensed with immediately by (1) Providing big amount in the Budget fo total renovation of Judicial infrastructure( 2) Reform of Lengthy procedures of trials, filing of petition & replies by OP,,hearings etc.(3) Judgment should be in precise form.

Hopefully, the new CJI will take decision to safe guard the basic principles enshrined in our Constitution, as well as the basic character of Indian Democracy, i.e. diversity in unity, unity in diversity,, which alone will ensure India to remain as a strong country.

He is such a libral that even he had turned his father's judgment. SCI is the last hope for common man to whome no one hears and since few years Judaciary dissapointed the people and judaciary is in questions then...I wish him Best Of Luck and hope he will give some landmark judgment.

He would be an enlightened chief justice who works with in the Constitution of India and ensure that the Benches would not legislate but deliver unambiguous judgements.
